Merchant of Record
Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") acts as our Merchant of Record for all purchases.
Paddle is the seller of record for transactions and is responsible for:
- Processing your payment and handling chargebacks and refunds
- Collecting and remitting applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar indirect taxes

When you purchase a subscription, you enter into a contract of sale with Paddle acting as merchant of record on our behalf. Your bank or card statement will show a charge from "PADDLE* STACKSFINDER".
For billing inquiries or refund requests, you may contact either us at [email protected] or Paddle directly.

Each subscription plan includes specific usage limits (e.g., number of blueprints per month, Spec Analyzer extractions). You agree to:
- Not exceed the usage limits of your plan
- Not attempt to circumvent usage limits through technical means
- Not share account credentials to bypass limits
If you exceed your plan's limits, access to certain features may be restricted until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan.

Blueprints and recommendations generated by the Service are provided for your use. You may use them for your projects without restriction.
Deterministic Scoring & AI Content
StacksFinder combines deterministic algorithms with AI-generated content. It is important to understand what each component provides:
Deterministic Components (Not AI)
The following are computed using versioned lookup tables and produce identical results for identical inputs:
- Technology Scores - Base scores from curated technology database
- Recommendations - Technology selection based on your constraints
- Compatibility Checks - Technology compatibility from predefined matrix
- Delta Adjustments - Context-based score modifiers from rule tables
Each blueprint stores the exact version of scoring tables used, ensuring full reproducibility and auditability.
AI-Generated Components
The following use Large Language Models (LLMs) and may vary between generations:
- Narrative Explanations - Human-readable descriptions of why technologies were recommended
- Spec Analyzer Extraction - Parsing of uploaded documents to identify constraints
- Summary Text - Blueprint summaries and executive overviews
Your Responsibilities
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Recommendations (deterministic or AI-enhanced) are suggestions, not guarantees of success
- You are responsible for evaluating and validating recommendations before implementation
- Technology landscapes change rapidly; recommendations may become outdated
- AI-generated narratives should be reviewed for accuracy in your specific context
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACKSFINDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
